UFC 216 FERGUSON VS LEE

Ferguson vs Lee -The Ultimate Fighting Championship aka UFC holds a championship double-header on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event — which will be dedicated to the victims of the Las Vegas massacre on Sunday night — is headlined by an interim lightweight championship bout between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee. In the co-main event, Johnson vs Borg. Demetrius Johnson will defend his title and unbeaten win streak. He has successfully defended his title many times.

FERGUSON VS LEE IS A MATCH UP OF FIREWORKS

Those words are sure to draw the ire of Ferguson (22-3 MMA, 12-1 UFC), 33, who comes in riding a nine-fight winning streak. Meanwhile, to Ferguson, the 25-year-old Lee (16-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) is in over his head after talking his way into this interim title opportunity.

Lee isn’t reluctant to give Ferguson respect for his impressive run of victories. But he adds there’s a problem with “El Cucuy’s” hard-nosed approach that ultimately will prove to be his downfall at UFC 216.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS ORGANIZATIONS

5. Tie Between Legacy FC and Maximum FC

LEGACY FIGHTERS LEAGUE

1 OF 5

There are so many great organizations that could have made this list, so that’s why we kick off our top-five list with a tie.

Canada’s Maximum FC and Texas-based Legacy FC have both proven to be top MMA organizations with their quality cards, solid talent roster and precious TV time they both have with AXS TV. Both have produced some great prospects that have in turn deepened the UFC’s talent roster after exposure from the companies.

Maximum FC utilizes a ring for their shows, giving them an old-school Pride feel. In addition to that, they have produced guys like Ryan Jimmo, who now graces the UFC’s light heavyweight division.

Further than that, they rarely have a boring show. Every time I have indulged in one of their fight cards, I have not been disappointed with the quality or excitement.

Legacy is creating some great up-and-comers in addition to some solid veteran faces. They have given the UFC talents like Daniel Pineda and Andrew Craig, just to name a couple.

With Robert Drysdale and Will Campuzano as two of their keynote fighters, Legacy will continue its ascent up the MMA ladder.
