Round 1: Machida comes out and takes the center of the octagon. Despite the long layoff, Machida looks like his vintage self, maintaining a long range and moving on the balls of his feet. Nothing of consequence happens for the first 90 seconds but Machida hits a stepping straight left as Bruson comes forward. Brunson reaches for a big right hand but comes up with air. Machida again times a stepping in left hand to an approaching Brunson but this time Brunson lands a huge left hook that clips Machida and has him on skates! Brunson follows up with some shots and some ground and  pound to his face and finishes the fight and the crowd is silent.
